Shawna Thornton and Sue Donahue presenting flags to Telesis
students
Our club recently donated
twelve American flags for the Telesis Preparatory Academy's new
classrooms, and we're working with that school's principal to put
together a Constitution Day program. Is there a TARS (teenage
Republi-cans) club in our schools' future? Perhaps!

NOMINATING COMMITTEE
We need to start thinking about officers for 2011. The nominating
committee will be meeting in September, present a slate in October,
and members will vote in November.
If you are willing to serve as an officer, please contact Linda
Hasslen @ 505-7229, Chris Bergen @ 680-0052, or Catherine Bruton @
680-4181. You can find the duties of the officers in the By-laws
which is printed in the back of our Membership Roster. Members are encouraged to
consider being an officer as we each need to do our part to have a
productive club. It is good to have new ideas incorporated into the
club.

NFRW Headquarters
As you may or may not know, the parent organization of Lake
Havasu Republican Women is immediately the Arizona Federation of
Republican Women (AzFRW) and then ultimately the National Federation
of Republican Women (NFRW). Part of the yearly dues we pay go to
help fund all 3 levels of our organization. The NFRW headquarters is
located in Alexandria, VA, a suburb of Washington, DC.
