A message from Membership Chair, Shirley McFerran

Hello ladies,

I want to take this opportunity to thank the ARW members and their guests who chose to spend Monday afternoon at our Membership Drive party at the beautiful home of Jan Hermsmeyer. The feed back to me was everyone enjoyed the food, company and speakers including our own Jan Martinson who took the time to share her knowledge of AZFRW and NFRW. She is such a great asset to ARW. I want to thank ALL the gals that gave up their time and their talents to help make this a great, fun- filled afternoon. Please keep putting out the word about ARW to any and all friends and family members to encourage them to get in-volved. Also ladies, I would like for you to be aware that if we have a speaker your husband/boyfriend/ brother/father/uncle might be interested in hearing, they are welcome to attend said luncheon as long as they have a reservation.

I would like to mention the AZFRW Winter meeting which is being held down in Yuma, AZ. By the time you read this the event will be past but I would like to encourage all the members and especially the new members to give some thought to attending the next big State meeting. These get-togethers are not only a lot of fun but very educational as they always have wonderful workshops covering a wide variety of topics. They are always held in the state of AZ and generally try to stay close to the Phoenix area, but it is always nice to have them at other locations as it gives you an opportunity to "get out of town". More information regarding these meetings will be included in our newsletter the closer we get to the date. The summer AzFRW meeting will be held in Prescott, AZ. June 18 & 19 at Windham Garden Hotel.

Again, thanks so much for making ARW the great club it has become.

Dear members,

Thank you for your contribution to the TARS Scholarship fund. Your contribution will help with air fares for the trip. Today, more, than ever, we need to support our young people who will become our fu-ture leaders in the Republican Party. I am grateful for your help.

Sincerely,

Lois Fitch, State Advisor

Don’t forget to rescue those pull-tabs throughout the year. They are worth $$$ to our club! Bring your collected "pull top rings" to Janene Warner, ARW ladies have done a grand job with this on-going project.
