AZ Republican Party Award for Volunteer Club of the Year in 2002.

celebrated their 45th Anniversary on November 1, 2003
at the home of
Ann Jackel, a past-president.

Kate McGee, a former school board member in north Phoenix,
attended a meeting of a Republican women’s club at which Mr.
Shadegg recited, sometimes in great detail, the inner workings
of the House and behind-the-scenes negotiating on bills. He
admits he can run on a bit. But Ms. McGee saw only virtue.
“John Shadegg has changed Washington,” she said. “He is a fiscal
conservative. He is consistent, and you know where he stands. He
holds colleagues and the White House to their principles.”
